Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Welcome to BroadRoads, a free online 5v5 game you play in your browser at broadroads.com (the "Service"), operated by the BroadRoads team ("we", "us"). By creating an account, playing as a guest or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live requires a higher age to agree to online terms or to the processing of your data (for example 16 in some EU countries), you may only play with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you. The Service is free; we don't sell anything in it.
2. Your account
- You can play as a guest (we create a random name and keep your progress on that account) or create an account with a player name and password, optionally linked to Google or Discord.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has access to it.
- Player names must follow the Community Rules. We may rename or reset a name that doesn't.
- One person, one account for ranked play. Don't sell, buy, share or trade accounts.
- You can delete your account at any time in the game (Profile → Account → Delete account). See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
3. Playing fair
Follow the Community Rules. In short: no cheating, scripts, bots, exploits or tampering with the game or its servers; no harassment or hate; no leaving games on purpose or ruining them for others. We use automated checks and player reports, and we may warn, mute, temporarily suspend or permanently ban accounts that break the rules, and remove their rewards or ranks. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to a ban without warning.
4. Virtual items and progress
Shards, skins, titles, frames, pass tiers, ranks and other in-game items and progress are a limited licence to use them inside the Service. They have no monetary value, can't be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and can't be transferred between accounts. We may change how they work (for example to balance the game), and seasons reset ranks and pass progress as described in the game.
5. What others can see, replays and spectating
Other players see your player name, level, rating, honor, club, profile statistics and the messages you send in chat. Matches can be watched live by spectators, including through watch links that work without an account, and recent matches are saved as replays that anyone with the link can watch. Highlight clips you make are yours to share.
6. Chat and voice
Text chat is filtered for some offensive words and can be reported. Party voice chat connects you directly to the other players in your party (or through our relay server); voice is never recorded by us. Only join voice with people you're comfortable sharing that connection with, and mute or leave whenever you like.
7. Content you send us
You keep whatever rights you have in content you create (such as chat messages, player and club names, and clips). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and transmit that content as needed to run the Service (for example to deliver your chat messages and show your name in matches, leaderboards and replays). Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
8. Our content
The game, its code, champions, art, music, sound, text and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Service in a browser for your own non-commercial use. You may stream, record and share videos of your gameplay, including monetized videos, as long as you don't suggest they're official or sponsored by us. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it. Third-party software and fonts are listed in the Legal notice.
9. Changes and availability
The Service is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running, but we may change, pause or end features, modes or the Service itself, and it may sometimes be unavailable (for example during updates, which we announce in the game when we can). We'll give reasonable notice before shutting the Service down for good.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data or progress, or for the conduct of other players. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to EUR 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or the Community Rules, or if we need to for legal reasons. If you think a moderation decision was a mistake, tell us through the contact form and we'll review it.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll show the date of the latest version here and tell players in the game about important changes. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply; if you don't agree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
